DAVID EUGENE ORGLER

David Eugene Orgler died on February 10, 2003 after battling acute myloid leukemia for 9 months.
He is survived by his parents, Siegfried and Rosemary Orgler; his wife, Mary Burrichter Orgler and his 4 children, Katie, Paul, Karen, and Patrick Orgler, as well as his two siblings Gordon Orgler and Irene Wright.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Orgler in 1989.

Dave was born in Neptune, NJ in 1954. He received his B.S. in biology and chemistry in 1977 from Bloomsburg University, PA.
In 1986 he earned a MBA from Webster University, TX. After spending 13 years on active duty in army medical logistics, he joined the army reserve.
He was a Lt. Colonel at the time of his death and in total he served the army for 23 years.
As contractor for INS at Ft. Detrick, Dave set up the distribution of vaccines to the military community.
He was deeply devoted to his family and his church.   He and his wife Mary had just celebrated their 25th anniversary in December.

Dave was a man who loved God and set an example for others in his work life and his personal life.
He was a founding member and elder of the former Frederick Worship Center and a founding member and elder at Harvest Christian Fellowship.
He served for many years as the director of Royal Rangers.   Dave and Mary led a Bible study for 8 years.

Together with his wife, they directed a children’s feeding program in Nicaragua, “Estoy Contigo.”

Always an athlete, he enjoyed running, rappelling, and roller skating.
Dave was a member of the National Capital roller skating club and loved roller skating with his family.   He and his wife competed in team dance on the local and national level.

In 2001, he won 1st place in Figures at the National Roller-skating Championship in Pensacola, Fl.

He was a loving husband and father, compassionate and generous to all.
