A VISIT TO A SKATE PARK.

Well, I finally got a chance to take some time to visit a local "Skate Park" to see just what it consisted of.
So, off we went to "Van's Skate Park" at the Moorestown Mall in New Jersey.
I thought it would be a hectic, frenzied scene, with skaters rolling past each other, narrowly missing colliding with each other.

SURPRISE!   The experience was very good, and the 10 or so young people skating at the facility were Very considerate of each other.   Each of them waited until they could practice their routine without being in the way of any one else.   Each applauded and banged their boards or skates in appreciation of the others efforts.
Time after time some of them would try a particularly hard trick and fail, only to go back and Try Again, until they Did it!
Their determination was astounding!

Some of them were very good, and did some harder moves, while some others were obviously beginning.   Every one of them was respected equally, whether Beginner or Advanced, and all of them were considerate of each other.
They made what could easily have been a Cartoon Fire Drill into a pleasant-to-watch exhibition of the finest qualities and skills of our young people.

There were some adults there, most of which appeared to be Parents of the younger kids.
They would yell and cheer when their kids managed to complete a trick, and generally give their support.
The Skate Park also had employees in the Half-pipe, Rail and other areas to insure the safety of the skaters.

Unfortunately we didn't bring either our Sony digital cameras or our Video Cameras, so I didn't get any pictures or Video Clips, but, I DO plan to go again, and with all cameras batteries Fully Charged!

Look for some pics, video clips and maybe even some bios in the near future.
