PROMOTING ROLLER SPORTS IN OVER 80 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD. OF THE SKATERS, BY THE SKATERS, FOR THE SKATERS. |
Melissa offered her time to cover the 2000 Worlds Championship for the Roller Sports Web and all skaters and fans of Roller Skating around the world.
"Well, I have to say, I am so excited about worlds being in my 'back yard' and excited about bringing worlds to all the people who can't come to see it themselves. I hope to do a job that everyone will be happy about, with pictures and results."
Melissa also took pictures for me to create a 3D Panoramic of the Springfield Civic Center.
The picture below and on the pages of the Worlds photo tour site attest to her skill.

Marian and Al Smith have been promoting Artistic Roller Skating on the RS Web since they first joined us as the Pacific Southwest Regional site.
They have transformed their first nice Regional site into a truly professional presentation, enlisting the help of their friend, John Ramirez, the Assistant Webmaster of the site.
They have always "been there" when needed for help of any kind, and they thought up and hosted the First Annual Roller Sports Web Webmasters Meeting at Nationals in 2000.
They generated much interest in the RSWEB at that time.
Al & Marian are planning to also host the Second Annual RSWEB Webmasters meeting at Nationals this year as well.
Al was also the first President of the California Speed Association back in the 70's.
Additionally, Al & Marian's son, Curt Craton is being inducted into the USARS Hall of Fame this year (2001).
Their contribution to promoting Artistic skating is immeasurable, and we hope they stay with the RSWEB for many, many years to come!
