NOTE: These requirements are to insure the orderly operation of, and for the protection of the RS Web Members.   They are Not Designed to excessively restrict any site from posting, etc.

The RS WEB is growing rapidly, and I am trying to write the rules to best serve both the RS WEB and the skaters of the World. .
I do make mistakes.   Let me know about problems and I may be able to rewrite the rules to better explain them.
We Welcome ALL types of Roller Sports sites, and recognize the Authority of each type's Federation or Governing Body in their area.  

In order for you to be processed into the Roller Sports Web, please read these conditions, and then click the link to the Membership Form at the bottom of this page.


Applicants for ASSOCIATE Web Site Status must agree to the following:
(ALL SITES)
Effective 14 APRIL, 2001 - There are now THREE levels of ASSOCIATE membership in the RSWEB.
While we would like to support all roller sports organizations, individuals and sites, we feel that we cannot do so without their support in return.

(ADVERTISING)

The decision to place any Advertising on the site, or to handle any such advertising, is the sole decision of the Individual Site Owner(s), with the following exceptions:

NO ADVERTISING that infers or suggests sponsorship or permission of any Official Skating Organization or Governing Body is permitted anywhere on the site, unless specifically authorized IN WRITING by the organization, (With a copy sent to the RS Web Administrator) PRIOR to such ads being placed on the site.
(NOTE) "Free" sites that have ads placed on their sites automatically by the Free Provider are EXEMPT from this requirement.
NO ADVERTISING for (or Links to) X-Rated, Pornographic, or any Illegal areas is permitted on any site in the RS Web.

(LINKS)

A link to the Roller Skating Web Network must be provided, again, Somewhere on the site.

PLEASE NOTE: A link to your Official Governing Body site must also be provided.
This is to maintain uniform support of each Governing Body across the entire RS Web System.

All RS Web membership Clickable Image Maps may NOT be listed seperately on ANY Regional, State or Associate site, nor on any Non-Member site except with express permission of the RSWEB, and the sites's meeting the conditions set forth thereby.
This is to insure that all users will see a CURRENT, UPDATED listing of all members of the RS WEB.

ANY site, RS Web member or Not, MAY link to any information on an RSWEB site, so as not to have to maintain a page on their own site that would take up precious space, and would duplicate info already listed on one of the Member sites.

Sites Other than the Official RSWEB Eastern Regional site will decide what they may wish to let be copied and used.
However, unless otherwise stated on the Individual site(s), the above permission will be binding on all sites in the RS Web.

 

(SITE LEAVING RS WEB)

In the event that an Associate, State or Regional Site leaves the web for any reason, whether voluntarily or not, all Regional, State & Associate sites must agree to remove links to those sites as ASSOCIATE, STATE or REGIONAL WEB SITES only.
Links to them as standard skating sites not associated with the RS Web is at the discretion of the Individual sites.
However, the words " Not associated with the RS Web" must be included in the link description, or as a "header" to the listings of non-associated sites.

Any site that is listed on an Associate, State or Regional Site that is not associated with the RS Web must conform to the above.

(SUMMARY)

The above agreements are to insure an orderly operation of this RS Web, and as such, agreement with all items listed is necessary for membership, and are ALL that is required of a member.
Outside of the listed requirements, we wish No control over individual sites of any kind.
ANY site is welcome to use any graphic on this Eastern Regional Site, EXCEPT that no site may use the Copyrighted Logo without permission of the RSWEB, nor any graphic or other item that is marked as Copyrighted, without the permission of the Copyright holder.
